Description

This document estimates the operating potentials on the RHE scale, the turnover frequencies (TOF) and turnover numbers (TON) for four different electrochemical nitrogen reduction systems over a solid electrode, the Schrock homogeneous catalyst for nitrogen reduction5 and nitrogenase. An idealised target electrode is also considered. This formulation allows for greater ease of comparison between homogeneous systems, enzymes and solid electrodes.
