Description
Reaction: Thymol + Palmitic Acid -> 2-isopropyl-5-methylphenyl palmitate +H20 Acetonitrile was used as a solvent, DMAP and EDC.HCl as a catalyst and a base. Aqueous and Organic workup were carried out. Initial NMR analysis showed some hexane still present in the final product
