Description

Synthesised according to the general procedure, using toluene as the reaction solvent. Purified by flash column chromatography (EtOAc:Cyclohexane 5 à 30 %). Yield = 1.16g white solid, 84%. Analytical data is in accordance with literature reports.14 1H NMR (700 MHz, CDCl3) δ (ppm) = 7.99 (s, 1H), 7.90 (t, J = 1.9 Hz, 1H), 7.83 (m, 2H), 7.54 (m, 2H), 7.46 (t, J = 7.8 Hz, 2H), 7.26 (m, 1H), 7.20 (t, J = 8.0 Hz, 1H). 13C NMR (176 MHz, CDCl3) δ (ppm) = 166.0, 139.3, 134.6, 132.2, 130.5, 129.0, 127.7, 127.2, 123.3, 122.8, 118.9. HRMS [C13H10NOBr+H]+ : Expected 276.0024, Observed 276.0015 Melting point: 133 - 135 °C
